Working on exhibition material for Hasbro's preview areas where clients review Hasbro products and decide if they're going to stock them was a major project. Each of the current products that Hasbro wants to promote has a section allocated to them and these spaces have to be branded with graphics related to the product.
The Star Wars section was 7 metres wide (and 2 metres tall) and different areas of the space were needed for a different product. Creative artwork from the film was supplied by the client. However this was not large enough and had to be creatively expanded to fit the space to create the 3D space.
The Beauty and the Beast display was 1.5 metres wide (and 2 metres tall) and was also a 3D build. The bookshelf was actually built and the fireplace was built so that it housed an actual fire and fire effects and was dressed with real fire irons. There were no supplied material, only a branding guide for this and I created all material from scratch.
The Play Doh spaces were also built to be 3D with a full kitchen worktop erected, from material supplied, with some creative licence.
The My Little Pony exhibition consisted of graphics for a whole room - 15 metres and they all had to match and blend perfectly, from different MLP universes into one whole environment.
Lego was another large client we worked for, on several projects. The only sample we were allowed to have is the 'magic' graphic, the largest of a series of 6 ceiling graphics for a Lego shop in Burbank California. Each of the ceiling graphics represented on the Lego universes.
During the Windrush celebrations I was approached to design a portable exhibition that would be taken to different locations. I designed a 2 metre wide roller banner to act as a backdrop for added furniture and props, and a roller banner to advertise the exhibition.
The Great War exhibition panel was a concept panel designed for an exhibition by Islington Council. The information and images to be used had not yet been sourced by the council, but they wanted an initial design that material could be dropped into later.
Katherine Buchan Meadow Trust needed exhibition panels for their meadow space, one as a general information sign about the Meadow project and a 2 metre long one explaining the meadow cycle.
In collaboration with Isabel Davis of Pigeon Scratch Productions, I have designed several of my own exhibition spaces for the Museums and Heritage Show, and exhibition material for Freedom Hotspot's stands in hospitality shows.
